Insured Custody

Explains the concepts of insured custody, comprehensive crime insurance, inclusions, and insurance for cold and frozen wallets.

In some sense, custodians must be trusted in the BTC Proxy framework, as assets could be stolen; or not honor the one-to-one backing. However, the framework aims to minimize this trust in a few ways.

Comprehensive Crime Insurance - Hex Trust will maintain commercial Criminal Insurance [13] to further safe keep our client assets. Aon will arrange insurance coverage via a select group of international insurers.

Inclusions - The insurance is a proprietary Aon solution and covers theft of digital assets via dishonest employee(s) or third parties, held by Hex Trust on behalf of their clients.

Covering Cold and Frozen Wallets - Our insurance coverage covers our Cold and Frozen Wallet solutions.
